Where do I fill? Lines 1 and 2. Line 1 is the tear trough itself, and sometimes it extends laterally to line 2. If both of those are filled, then the cheek appears smoother, and the patient well rested. Line 0 is not filled. That is a line that is made by the eye pushing on the lower lid, and is part of normal anatomy, which children and adults have.
It should not be confused with a tear trough. Line 3 is hard to fill. It appears in late 20s and 30s, due to volume loss from the cheek. Sometimes the filler works to smooth that line, but a lot of time it is not improved much. However, lines 1 and 2 are filled when placing under eye filler.
